The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
